13/06/2012:Come and Talk to Labour about Green Policies:

The next meeting of Reading and District Labour Party’s Green Policy Forum will be in the Hall at RISC (35-39 London Street, Reading RG1 4PS), on Wednesday 27th June, starting at 8pm.

Attendance at the Forum is open to members and non-members of the Labour Party, and has been set up to give members of the public the opportunity to put forward suggestions for green policies for Reading Labour Party to consider implementing in the Reading area. Topics considered at previous meetings include green transport and encouraging more walking and cycling, linking health with green issues, renewable energy, attendance at the AWE Local Liaison Committee, and creating a vision of Reading as a town with more locally focussed commerce and with local businesses using local produce.

Convenor Roger Sym says: “If you have ideas on recycling, saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, or other green policies, this is a chance for you to get them put into practice, so come along and share your ideas with us!”
